Aren't all moms full-time moms? I mean really, how do you stop being a mom once you have a kid? Just because you work outside the home doesn't mean you're a part-time mom. Labels are so limiting, aren't they?
My mom had six kids. She's in her seventies now, and she's still a full-time mom. I just had my first kid 18 months ago, and I've been a full-time mom since then.
Actually, I'm a teacher, but I resigned last August to stay home with the baby. It was a hard decision. I love teaching, but I love her more.
A couple of weeks ago, the school called me. They asked if I was ready to come back. Ready? They said they'd take me full-time or part-time. They said they just wanted me back on the campus. I found this immensely flattering, especially after resigning last August.
Will I go back? I'm not sure, but I'll be a full-time mom either way.
